First, a little history…we’re 140 years old!
First Christian Church has been a part of the Grand Junction community since 1884! We started in our original church building at 8th and White in Grand Junction, and moved to our current location next to Sherwood Park in 1957. As we grew with the community, we added our Sanctuary addition in 1985. Since our founding, we’ve been a part of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) denomination.
In addition to serving the needs of our congregation, we also emphasize a passion for outreach, working with groups in the community to extend God’s love to our unhoused community through our Street Ministry program.
We have so many programs to offer you! We host a Guitar Club, a book club, men’s and women’s groups. We have a group that gets together for table games, a musical Praise Team and more. Everyone is welcome.
